Earlier in my career I needed some 'official' reassurance that I was doing a half decent job!
During my membership, I gained over 100 awards from the Guild of Photographers across a range of genres.
In their words a Bronze Bar is 'SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF' and is awarded to images of a strong standard at national competition level. A Silver Bar is awarded to 'VERY WELL CRAFTED' images which is 'difficult to achieve'.
Whilst I no longer feel the need to submit my imagery to a panel of judges, I am very grateful for the confidence these awards gave me to go off and develop my own style.
Here is a selection of my favourite wedding images (that won an award).
