Throwing shapes like the beatles

It's my mate Bob again! This time with a little help from his friends, or rather his best mate, dad and brand new father-in-law!

We're both big Beatles fans so this really was great fun to do. Super easy too! Initially, I was a tad embarrassed to admit that I hadn't realised the Beatles were spelling out the word 'Help' in semaphore on their album cover. I just thought it looked cool.

On further investigation I discovered that it doesn't actually spell anything. The original idea to use the semaphore letters didn't look good together. The photographer, Robert Freeman, decided to have the Beatles experiment with other arrangements of hand positions.

So it does just look cool, after all! Unless, there is more to the story. Feel free to let me know!
