It's always extra special when you get to photograph a friend's wedding. I have known Bob, the groom, for several years and am well aware of his love for Star Wars (the original trilogy - he refuses to watch the new stuff!). He is a huge fan of Mark Hamill and also his son Nathan - who he commissioned to design the art work featured in this blog.
I just knew that I had to include some reference to the films and his personal hero in the wedding photos. I considered lots of different images but settled on this publicity shot. In place of the lightsaber I swapped the position of Bob and bride, Tash, in order to showcase their wedding rings. Bob doesn't have the same startled expression as Luke and I'm not entirely convinced that Tash enjoyed styling the shot as much as Bob but you get the idea!
